TRANSPARENT CONDUCTIVE COATING & CLEAN POWER

Conductive Glass Signage

Conductive glass signage uses a transparent conductive coating to deliver low-voltage power to external LED elements, reducing visible wiring across the glass. It is suited to hotel lobbies, brand stores, display windows, showrooms, and other close-view commercial spaces; final construction must be reviewed against environment, size, mounting, and maintenance access.

PROJECT GUIDANCE

What is conductive glass signage?

Conductive glass signage does not make the glass itself conductive. A conductive structure formed by a transparent coating on the inner surface carries low-voltage power to external LED modules, while tempered or laminated glass provides the visible structure. This creates a cleaner rear view than traditional wired letters for hotel lobbies, brand stores, transparent windows, showrooms, mall atriums, and other close-view installations. Buyers should choose single glass only for suitable dry indoor projects and consider laminated construction for outdoor, humid, facade, or long-term premium applications. Before quotation, provide dimensions, artwork, quantity, indoor or outdoor location, mounting details, brightness expectations, destination, and required schedule. HC WISIGN reviews glass thickness, connection holes, edge distances, sealing, power layout, installation structure, and maintenance access before confirming the final production solution. Samples, connection details, and engineering documents can be discussed when the project requires supplier qualification or technical review.

Principle: Transparent Conductive Coating Replaces Visible Wiring

Transparent conductive layer

ITO, silver nanowire, or similar nanoscale coating is applied to the inner glass surface to carry current; the glass itself remains tempered glass.

Laminated insulation

The laminated option seals the conductive layer inside the glass, leaving a normal glass touch surface.

External LED modules

LEDs connect through drilled holes and remain external for easier maintenance and replacement.

Sealed connection points

Connection points are sealed with waterproof silicone or UV adhesive according to project environment.

ITO / silver nanowire

The glass itself is not conductive

Current is carried by a nanoscale transparent conductive coating on the inner glass surface. The glass itself remains tempered glass.

PVB / SGP

Laminated structure isolates the coating

The laminated option seals the conductive layer between glass and PVB/SGP interlayer, isolating it from touch, moisture, and impact.

Project reviewed

Safety-reviewed holes with external LEDs

LEDs are not sealed inside the glass. They connect through safety-reviewed holes; diameter, edge distance, and position must match tempering and structural requirements.

IP68 option

Use laminated glass for outdoor projects

Single glass is suitable for dry indoor projects. Laminated glass is preferred for outdoor, humid, facade, water-adjacent, and long-term premium projects.

2400 x 3600mm

Regular maximum size

Regular projects can reach about 2400 x 3600mm. Larger sizes require feasibility review for glass, conductive coating, and mounting structure.

50,000+ hours

Clearer maintenance path

External modular LEDs make single-point troubleshooting and replacement easier for long-term commercial spaces.

STRUCTURE OPTIONS

Single-Glass Indoor Option and Laminated Glass Option

Dry indoor projects can use the single-glass option for lower weight and cost. Outdoor, humid, facade, and long-term premium projects should use laminated conductive glass.

Single-glass option

For indoor, dry, lightweight projects with controlled cost requirements.

Laminated glass option

For outdoor, premium, humid, facade, water-adjacent, and long-term commercial projects.

Patents, Qualifications, and Buyer Due-Diligence Documents

Large commercial projects often require supplier qualification review. We can provide business registration, patent records, quality-management information, and relevant case references according to the project stage.

Five utility-model patent records

HC WISIGN has multiple utility-model patent records related to signage structure, lighting installation, and related processes. Supporting documents can be provided during project qualification review.

Quality-management certification record

ISO9001 quality certification was obtained in 2019. Production and delivery follow a quality-management process covering material confirmation, fabrication inspection, assembly testing, packaging, and shipment checks.

Founded in 1993 with a 9,000 sqm manufacturing base

HC WISIGN traces its manufacturing history to 1993 and operates an approximately 9,000 sqm production base serving brand stores, hotels, malls, and commercial-space projects.

Buyer FAQ

Does the glass itself conduct electricity?

No. The glass remains tempered glass. Electricity is carried by a nanoscale transparent conductive coating on the inner glass surface, replacing visible wiring for LED power transmission.

Why is laminated glass safer?

The laminated option seals the conductive layer between two glass sheets and PVB/SGP interlayer. People touch normal glass, while moisture and impact are isolated from the conductive layer.

How should buyers choose between conductive glass and conductive acrylic?

Choose conductive acrylic for lightweight, shaped, indoor suspended projects. Choose conductive glass for premium finish, scratch resistance, outdoor durability, facades, or humid environments.

Can it be used outdoors or near water?

The laminated conductive glass solution is suitable for outdoor, premium, and humid environments. Waterproofing, mounting, and electrical details are confirmed by project size, location, and brightness requirements.

Are the LEDs sealed inside the glass?

No. LEDs are usually installed externally and connected to the conductive layer through safety-reviewed holes. Hole diameter, edge distance, and position are confirmed by glass thickness, tempering safety requirements, mounting method, and structural load, while keeping the glass clean and easier to maintain.

Will the connection holes become water-leak points?

For outdoor and humid projects, connection holes are sealed with waterproof silicone or UV adhesive and designed together with the laminated structure. The final protection level depends on installation position, size, and environment.

How should buyers choose single glass or laminated glass?

Consider single glass for indoor, dry, budget-sensitive, or lightweight projects. Choose laminated glass for outdoor, humid, facade, water-adjacent, premium display, and long-term projects.

What information is needed for a fast quote?

Provide dimensions, quantity, logo/artwork, installation environment, indoor/outdoor use, brightness requirement, and reference cases. More complete inputs lead to a more accurate quote.
